This policy describes how the RHS Center handles data in the course of producing the RH Score and operating its platform. Because the RH Score is anchored to a property address rather than to a person, the data at the center of our work is property data — not personal identity.
The RH Score follows the property, the way a vehicle history follows a VIN. Property data and personal data are separated by design. The score for an address does not require, and is not derived from, the identity of whoever owns or occupies it.
Data is used to produce, maintain, version, and serve the RH Score, to operate and secure the platform, and to support the disputes and re-inspection rights described in our governance commitments. We do not sell personal data to third parties for unrelated marketing.
We design our data handling to align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec’s Law 25. Where this draft and those obligations differ, the law governs.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to and correction of personal data we hold about you. Where a property carries an RH Score, the parties it affects are intended to have a defined path to dispute the score and request re-inspection.
We retain data for as long as needed to produce and steward the standard and to meet legal obligations, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it.
A dedicated privacy contact will be published as the RHS Center opens to the public. We have chosen not to list a contact address that is not yet monitored. Until then, this draft stands as a statement of intent rather than a channel for requests.
