These terms describe the intended basis on which the RHS Center platform and the RH Score will be made available. Because the platform is still in development, they are published as a statement of intent. A binding agreement will be presented before any production access is granted.
The RHS Center produces the RH Score — an independent, address-anchored signal of roof condition — and operates the platform through which authorized partners access it. Access is intended for vetted institutional users such as insurers, adjusters, lenders, and regulators.
The RH Score is a statistical estimate derived from address, climate-exposure, and roof-characteristic data. It is not a warranty of the condition or remaining life of any roof, and it is not a substitute for a physical inspection by a qualified professional. Decisions that carry real-world consequences should account for its nature as an estimate.
“RHS Center,” “RH Score,” the methodology, and the platform are the intellectual property of the RHS Center and its licensors. Access to a score does not transfer any rights in the underlying methodology or brand.
The RH Score does not constitute insurance, engineering, financial, or legal advice. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the RHS Center will not be liable for decisions made solely on the basis of a score. The precise limitation of liability will be set out in the binding agreement.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Because the standard is still being built, these terms will evolve. Material changes are intended to be announced rather than shipped silently, consistent with the versioning commitments in our governance framework.
A dedicated contact will be published as the RHS Center opens to the public. We have chosen not to list a channel that is not yet monitored. Until then, this draft stands as a statement of intent rather than a channel for requests.
